Hi, I'm Aisha Thomas-Petit. I am the Chief Diversity, Inclusion, and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer, and I've been with ADP for six years.
What attracted me to ADP when I was considering coming out of financial services was really an organization that was focused on transformation and technology. And so I never expected to sit here before you as the Chief Diversity, Inclusion, and CSR Officer. It wasn't even a thought in my mind.
I came to ADP with full intention of making a positive impact on the organization, bringing with me all of the skills, knowledge, competencies that I had developed in financial services. But I did not put a career roadmap together. I was really just, if I could use the word "chasing," I was chasing experiences. I was chasing an opportunity to learn about an industry that I knew very little about.
This is an organization where people, no matter what business unit or function you represent, everyone wants this amazing company to be successful. And whether you're playing a product role, working on our next-gen products, whether you are in our sales function and making sure that we're tapping into every single type of client, whether you're an HR business partner or working in our finance organization, everyone has, at the core, the desire to serve our clients and the desire to do what it takes to ensure that this company stays around for another 70 years.
Every day for me is a great day when I have an opportunity to sit with an associate, to sit with a leader one-to-one and learn something, something that will serve to benefit the diversity and inclusion and CSR work that I have strategically planned for and that the team is strategically planning for and executing against. So those are great days for me.

[LAUREN, SALES EXECUTIVE, ADP] Every day I'm responsible for cultivating a sales team that feels empowered and excited to be at work. We work with business owners, prospects, clients, just to generate business opportunities, walk them through products and services to help with their human capital management and help their businesses grow.
[MANSHI, SALES EXECUTIVE, ADP] You let your boss know like, hey, I have a doctor's appointment or if it's something personal, all I have to say is I'm going to be on my phone or I'm not going to be available, and he's like, don't worry, I got it.
[CHRISTOPHER, SALES EXECUTIVE, ADP] We're not punching a clock every day. We expect our associates to understand what their job is, and then they get it done. So this job just screams flexibility from day one.
[JANELLE, SALES EXECUTIVE, ADP] Do what you got to do to make it work. You don't necessarily have to be an early morning riser to be successful. So there's a lot of flexibility in that sense that you can make it work for your schedule, for your family. But obviously, always keeping in mind, however much you put in is what you're going to get out of it. For me, it's more so like a lifestyle. I don't really feel like it's work. If I got a call at 7:00 from a client, like I'm going to answer. Why? Because I know it's money on the line, and I enjoy what I do.
[CAT, VICE PRESIDENT, SALES, ADP] There's a lot of autonomy in this job. We work for a big corporation and there's obviously structure, and structure that works, but we can make that structure work exactly how we want to run it. So you get to be running your own business, but you get to do that with the backing of one of the best companies in the entire world.

No matter where you are and no matter what time period you're from, we value being part of a community. We want to be close to friends and family. We seek meaning for ourselves as individuals, where we can be acknowledged and recognized.

My name is Martha Bird. I'm a cultural anthropologist. And I worked for ADP.

I look for patterns. I study beliefs, routines, aspirations, and behaviors to inform the digital tools we're building at ADP.

I often look at new technologies in reference to what is the human need behind that.

You have the assembly line. You can imagine in the '50s, people had to work at a stationary terminal. And then you get into the PC in the '80s. And now you have the mobile phone. And people can kind of work anywhere.
ADP as a company is really aware of the importance of having a human perspective on technology. And that's one of the reasons I'm here, is to try to surface what it is that people actually need in the tools that they use.

I spend a lot of time deeply hanging out with people. I do a lot of asking questions that seem straightforward to people who are insiders.

I'm able to bring together human insights and observations that, when applied, can impact one in six workers in the US.

When employees work on teams where they feel that they are respected, they have a tendency to produce more. So I think companies understand that in order to create greater productivity, you have to really work on some of these levers of engagement.
At ADP, I feel really supported on a number of levels. I think the company has used all of the factors that conspire to actually make a more productive workforce. I have a great team that respects my opinion. It's about being authentic. It's about being open to diversity and different perspectives. I get to wake up every day and do exactly what I love doing, just really spending time with people, understanding people. It's about tending to other people and tending to yourself.

NEWSY: I'm very confident in the future of ADP. I have seen the investment that the company is making in our next gen platforms, I have seen the strategy that we've set forward for the next three to five years. I think the future for ADP is very bright.
DEREK: I definitely feel like I'm a part of a winning organization, for sure. ADP has been around for a long time, over 70 plus years. I do feel like there is going to be a successful future for ADP, just because we're able to work through the COVID situation and still bring support to clients.
FATIMA: From what I've seen, what happened with COVID, I just see how much ADP has passion for their clients and their employees. When COVID hit, we let them know that we're here for you, we'll make sure you're taken care of. That's the company I want to work for, that cares when something so dramatic happens. I think that's amazing.
RABEYA: I've talked to so many clients and the thing that they always talk about, they're always just like, I can't get that level of support that ADP gives us as a client anywhere else. So, I definitely think that ADP is world class. It's definitely number one.
