ADP - Rita Mitjans Discusses the ADP Foundation

[MUSIC PLAYING]
[DESCRIPTION]
Logo: ADP, Always Designing for People.
Text: How does ADP support social responsibility?
Rita Mitjans, Chief Diversity and Social Responsibility Officer
[SPEECH]
The ADP Foundation is a great vehicle to engage our associates in giving back to our local communities. It is one way that ADP actually supports one of our values, which is social responsibility. In essence, it is an organization that is separate from the ADP company, but it is set up specifically to match employees' giving to support organizations around the world that align with our corporate social responsibility values and to really help ADP make an impact in the communities in which we work and live.
The ADP Foundation really has a number of, I would say, key roles it plays in furthering ADP's commitment to our community. First, it starts with our own associates. It really is there to support the giving priorities of our associates. It also provides scholarships for our associates' children who qualify, as well. And we actually are very proud to have the Henry Taub Scholarship, which actually is open to all associates around the world.
The foundation was really started by one of our former CEOs, Josh Weston, who is himself a tremendous philanthropist. His vision was to really leverage the foundation as a way to recognize our associates' desire to give back to our communities, but also to make an impact as a company and as a social citizen.
And the foundation, although it's a US entity, actually does support global organizations. So we support Habitat for Humanity International, Junior Achievement Worldwide Girls, Inc—just some examples of some of the organizations that the foundation is involved with and supports. We also, in addition to the scholarships, also support diversity initiatives. And that's another great way that we align our corporate social responsibility with our desire to help underserved communities.
ADP Cares is one of the programs that, again, was originally funded by the ADP foundation. But it really is sort of like a GoFundMe for associates. It is a tool that really allows associates to provide support, financial support, for those associates that are financially distressed and in need. And the fund really is, as I said, funded by a combination of ADP match through the foundation and also associate donations.
And it's there in times of need, whether it's personal financial distress or recovering from a natural disaster. Many associates are actually able to apply for funding for short-term funding through the ADP Cares fund.
If you're thinking about joining ADP, I would say part of the reason, part of the value proposition for you is this is a company that really puts people first, that really focuses on the individual, their contributions, regardless of where you come from. If you're excited about a company with a purpose that cares deeply about its community and wants to give back and if you like the diversity of opportunity available to you, then I think ADP is a great place to be.

Aisha Thomas-Petit, ADP's Chief Diversity, Inclusion & Corporate Social Responsibility Officer

[MUSIC PLAYING]
[LOGO: ADP, Always Designing for People]
[TEXT: Aisha Thomas-Petit, Chief Diversity, Inclusion, and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer]
Hi, I'm Aisha Thomas-Petit. I am the Chief Diversity, Inclusion, and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer, and I've been with ADP for six years.
What attracted me to ADP when I was considering coming out of financial services was really an organization that was focused on transformation and technology. And so I never expected to sit here before you as the Chief Diversity, Inclusion, and CSR Officer. It wasn't even a thought in my mind.
I came to ADP with full intention of making a positive impact on the organization, bringing with me all of the skills, knowledge, competencies that I had developed in financial services. But I did not put a career roadmap together. I was really just, if I could use the word "chasing," I was chasing experiences. I was chasing an opportunity to learn about an industry that I knew very little about.
This is an organization where people, no matter what business unit or function you represent, everyone wants this amazing company to be successful. And whether you're playing a product role, working on our next-gen products, whether you are in our sales function and making sure that we're tapping into every single type of client, whether you're an HR business partner or working in our finance organization, everyone has, at the core, the desire to serve our clients and the desire to do what it takes to ensure that this company stays around for another 70 years.
Every day for me is a great day when I have an opportunity to sit with an associate, to sit with a leader one-to-one and learn something, something that will serve to benefit the diversity and inclusion and CSR work that I have strategically planned for and that the team is strategically planning for and executing against. So those are great days for me.

La règle d’or
