Description

ADP is looking for a Chief of Staff / Head of Program Management!

This role is hybrid onsite 3 days a week in any ADP US GPT location.

This role leads how global programs are designed, launched, and operated while ensuring the organization runs with clarity and discipline day to day. It provides leadership across planning, prioritization, operating cadence, financial stewardship, executive reporting, and the evolution of the global program model. The role turns long-term direction into clear priorities, executable plans, and visible outcomes across the organization. It also serves as a trusted advisor, driving alignment, stronger decisions, and more consistent execution across key programs. Here are your focus areas:

  • Strategic Planning and Prioritization — setting direction, shaping priorities, and guiding investment choices
  • Operating Model and Execution Excellence — driving cadence, governance, decisions, and follow-through across the organization
  • Global Technology Program Leadership — scaling complex global programs across regions, stakeholders, and enterprise needs

What would you do?

  • Partner with the organization’s leader and leadership team to define strategic direction, annual priorities, and measurable outcomes for the technology portfolio
  • Translate enterprise objectives into clear operating plans, delivery commitments, and execution priorities across the organization
  • Lead the evolution of the global technology program model, including how programs are designed, launched, governed, adopted, measured, and scaled across regions and business contexts
  • Design and run the organization’s operating rhythm, including leadership meetings, planning cycles, business reviews, and portfolio discussions, ensuring decisions and commitments are followed through
  • Maintain an integrated view of strategic technology programs, platform investments, delivery milestones, dependencies, risks, and adoption outcomes
  • Drive prioritization and tradeoff discussions based on enterprise value, risk, capacity, and expected business impact
  • Co-own budgeting, forecasting, investment planning, and headcount management in partnership with Finance and the organization’s leader
  • Prepare executive level reporting and decision materials that clearly communicate priorities, progress, risks, and areas requiring leadership action
  • Build strong alignment across Resilience, Security Programs, Workforce Transformation, Developer Productivity, Product, Engineering, Security, Finance, HR, and Communications
  • Take ownership of complex cross functional initiatives that do not sit neatly within one team, reducing coordination overhead and improving execution

What do we need?

  • Significant cross functional experience in technology business operations, organizational planning, transformation, program leadership, or a related area
  • Senior level experience operating in a large, global, matrixed technology environment
  • Demonstrated success building operating models and leading complex enterprise-wide technology programs
  • Strong portfolio, planning, and business review experience, with the ability to translate strategy into priorities, measures, and action
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, investment planning, and workforce management
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and the ability to lead effectively across regions, working styles, and business contexts in a global environment
  • Proven experience driving complex global projects or programs across multiple geographies, with strong coordination across cross-functional and regional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success leading change, driving adoption, and delivering outcomes in complex environments

What profile would match?

  • Enterprise thinker who connects long-term technology direction to measurable outcomes
  • Strong operating discipline and consistent follow-through
  • Influential, data driven, and comfortable balancing strategy with execution
  • Clear communicator who brings structure to ambiguity and progress to complex cross functional work

How would we measure success?

  • Clear priorities, ownership, and measurable outcomes across the technology portfolio
  • Faster and more consistent execution of global technology programs
  • Stronger prioritization, resource allocation, and investment discipline
  • Better stakeholder visibility into progress, impact, dependencies, and risks
  • Global programs that demonstrate measurable adoption, scalability, and business value
