Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Confirmed Level
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at a confirmed (mid) level to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our critical business product. This role blends strong SRE principles with DevOps practices to reduce operational toil and improve system stability. You will work primarily with a Windows-based enterprise environment and actively contribute to our AWS cloud migration.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability & Operations:
• Take ownership of production reliability, availability, and performance of the product.
• Define, monitor, and improve Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and operational KPIs.
• Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis with some autonomy.
• Drive improvements in system stability through automation, standardization, and proactive monitoring.
• Identify and reduce operational toil through process improvements and automation.
Platform & Infrastructure:
• Operate and maintain Windows Server–based environments.
• Provision and manage infrastructure supporting the product.
• Implement and enforce security best practices to protect applications.
• Manage BizTalk applications and support Linux-based applications.
Automation, DevOps & Tooling:
• Automate operational and reliability tasks to improve efficiency.
• Use and maintain DevOps tooling to support reliable operations.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance release reliability, observability, and operational readiness.
Cloud & Migration:
• Contribute actively to the AWS migration of the product and workloads.
• Apply SRE principles in cloud environments to improve resilience and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or infrastructure engineer with a strong SRE mindset.
• Solid experience managing Windows Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server operations.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Shell, or Python.
• Strong automation and DevOps skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting, incident response, and production support skills.
• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms.
• Comfortable working in English in an international environment.
• Good communication skills, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with Citrix (application publishing and access management).
• Experience operating BizTalk in production environments.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, storage, monitoring).
• Familiarity with SRE practices such as error budgets, capacity planning, and reliability reviews.
