ADP is hiring a Senior Mobile Developer - Ventures
We build new products from zero to one inside ADP. Small teams, real users, real impact. If you want to ship things that matter, not maintain things that exist, keep reading.
The gig
You’ll join a product team inside ADP Ventures building native-quality mobile applications for Android and iOS. Today we use Flutter, but we value mobile expertise over framework loyalty. We’re a venture studio: think startup pace with Fortune 500 reach. Our products touch millions of workers and the companies that employ them.
You won’t just write features off a backlog. You’ll shape what gets built, how it gets built, and why. We need someone who thinks product, not just tickets.
What the day-to-day looks like
Build and ship. Design, develop, test, and deploy mobile applications for Android and iOS. We currently run Flutter, but what matters is that you know mobile deeply: app lifecycle, platform APIs, performance tuning, store publishing. You’ll also touch the backend (we run Node.js + TypeScript), so full stack comfort matters.
Own the quality bar. You care about trunk-based development, clean CI/CD pipelines, meaningful code reviews, and shipping with confidence. You don’t need someone telling you to write tests.
Make the team better. You don’t need to be a formal mentor, but you do need to care about the people around you. Good code reviews, sharing what you know, helping someone get unstuck. The kind of stuff that makes a team stronger without needing a title for it.
Work with AI, not against it. We use AI-assisted development as a core part of our workflow, not as a novelty. You should be comfortable with AI coding tools and excited about pushing what’s possible with them.
Talk like a human. You’ll present to stakeholders, sync with product and design, and communicate across the org. Clear, direct, no corporate fluff.
What you bring
- 5+ years of professional development experience, with strong mobile focus (Android, iOS, or both)
- Deep understanding of mobile development, not just “I used a cross-platform framework once”
- Experience with Flutter or React Native in production (Flutter is a strong plus. It’s our current stack)
- Solid Node.js / TypeScript backend skills
- Git fluency, CI/CD experience, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Experience with SQL and relational data modeling
- Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)
- You genuinely enjoy helping teammates grow: pairing, reviews, or just being available
- You work well when the roadmap is still being figured out. Not because you like chaos, but because you know how to make progress without having every answer upfront
Bonus points
- Experience building products from scratch (0→1), not just maintaining existing systems
- Native Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) experience alongside cross-platform
- Exposure to React / Next.js (our web layer)
- Familiarity with trunk-based development workflows
- Background in venture studios, startups, or product-led environments
- Experience with Agile that actually works, not Agile theater
What we don’t care about
- Your CS degree (or lack thereof)
- How many years you spent at a FAANG
- Whether you can whiteboard a red-black tree
We care about what you’ve built, how you think, and whether you make the people around you better.
