ADP is hiring a Senior Director, Finance Systems within our Global Enterprise Technology & Solutions organization.

This is a senior technology and business leader responsible for the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of the company’s financial applications ecosystem. This role oversees all core finance platforms—including Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS), Oracle Fusion Finance (Oracle Cloud ERP), SAP Concur, and SAP Ariba—while driving innovation through automation, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and AI agents.

The leader partners with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and IT to modernize processes, enhance data quality, strengthen controls, and transform the finance function through digital capabilities.

In this role, the Senior Director will support the strategic planning, operating planning, and forecasting process at the consolidated level. This is a People Leader role and will also support the Finance teams relating to insights and analytics, while driving operational efficiencies across the global Finance organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, configuration, integrations, enhancements, and lifecycle management across all platforms.
  • Ensure system reliability, SOX compliance, financial close support, and optimized end‑to‑end processes.
  • Manage vendor relationships, renewals, licensing, and product roadmaps.

Automation & AI Leadership

  • Drive the adoption of AI/ML to streamline reconciliation, AP automation, anomaly detection, forecasting, and compliance monitoring.
  • Implement AI agents to support close processes, user support, data validation, and exception handling.
  • Champion the use of RPA (robotic process automation), workflow automation, and smart approvals.
  • Collaborate with data and AI teams to integrate financial systems with enterprise data platforms and AI models.

Transformation & Program Leadership

  • Lead large-scale ERP transformations (e.g., Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud).
  • Oversee program governance, project delivery, testing, change management, and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive process optimization, self‑service capabilities, and digital workflows across Finance and Procurement.
  • Ensure all systems meet audit, risk, security, and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of financial systems managers, analysts, developers, architects, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee budgeting, vendor management, resource planning, and performance management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Controllers, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and Audit to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.
  • Work closely with IT infrastructure, security, and data teams to ensure robust integrations, performance, and data governance.
  • Communicate proactively with senior leaders to ensure alignment and transparency across initiatives.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements

  • This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office minimum). Qualified candidates will sit in our Roseland, NJ office.
  • 12–15+ years in financial systems, enterprise applications, or finance technology leadership.
  • Deep experience with Oracle Financials: Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) and/or Oracle Fusion Finance (Cloud ERP).
  • Hands-on expertise with GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, Tax, and SLA modules
  • Experience with Procurement applications, including SAP or equivalent
  • Proven leadership of large, complex, global cross-functional teams and programs, including global implementations
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, GAAP, financial close cycles, and SOX/internal controls.
  • Demonstrated success implementing automation, AI/ML capabilities, AI agents, or RPA solutions within finance operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • MBA, Master’s in Finance, Executive MBA Program; or Graduate of Finance Leadership Development Program.
  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, Oracle Cloud Financials, PMP, Agile.
  • Deep understanding of financial close, consolidation, reporting, and management performance analytics.
  • Trusted advisor with sound stakeholder relationships across the business and within the industry; excellent at delivering all types of messages to all levels of the organization; surrounds self with those who challenge and promote deeper thinking; negotiates contracts and deals of significant impact to the business.
  • SAP Concur – Expense Management
  • SAP Ariba – Procure‑to‑Pay, Supplier Management
  • Thought leader with a general manager view, who is sought out by leadership and business partners to guide key complex business challenge; drives the analytical strategy of the organization; fosters an environment where insight generation is encouraged and rewarded, bringing out the best in others.
  • Familiarity with AI platforms, intelligent document processing (IDP), and workflow orchestration tools.
  • Experience with data visualization, analytics tools, and data lake/warehouse integrations.

    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Advanced Collections
    • Fixed Assets
    • Cash Management

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is USD $141,900.00 - USD $349,500.00 / Year*

*Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
