ADP is hiring a Vice President, Domestic Tax
This is an exciting role that will report to the SVP Tax and is responsible for ADP’s financial reporting for income taxes, federal and state tax strategy, and federal and state income, sales, use and personal property tax compliance. Critical to this role is the ability to operate in a matrixed environment as this role will partner closely with senior leaders in the organization. We are looking for someone who gets excited by complex challenges and be willing to challenge existing practices. This person should be embraced by senior leadership as a trusted business and strategic advisor and whose opinion is sought and respected.
What you’ll do: Responsibilities
- Lead the Global quarterly financial reporting process for income taxes including management of the effective tax rate and communications with senior leaders and external auditors.
- Assist with advising and implementing federal and state tax planning strategies to effectively manage taxes while mitigating risk.
- Monitor federal and state tax legislation changes and review technical evaluations of proposed or enacted legislation.
- Actively manage federal and state income tax compliance including coordinating ADP’s participation in the IRS CAP program and overseeing state income tax examinations.
- Oversee state and local sales, use and personal property tax compliance including taxability determinations and examinations.
- Be a key, strategic business partner who brings their tax acumen to help solve issues and identify opportunities.
- Manage five direct reports.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements
- 15+ years of broad-based experience with ASC 740 for public companies and large company tax compliance issues.
- 5–7+ years in leadership roles managing and developing high-performing teams.
- CPA and/or M.S in Taxation.
- Proven success in researching and communicating complex technical tax issues clearly and working effectively across functional teams and with senior leadership.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex matters with simplicity and clarity to non-experts across the company.
- Demonstrated ability to be “hands-on”, “sleeves rolled up”, resourceful, detail and results-oriented, proactive and responsive.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is USD $210,700.00 - USD $352,700.00 / Year*
*Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
