Support the preparation and delivery of U.S. Federal and State R&D Tax Credit claims. Analyze tax returns, financial data, payroll records, expenditure schedules, and time-tracking information to identify Qualified Research Expenses (QREs). Review client documentation and support evidence to assess qualifying R&D activities under applicable tax regulations. Prepare technical narratives, supporting reports, workpapers, and claim documentation. Review federal and state tax returns to assess credit utilization, carryforwards, payroll tax offset eligibility, and overall tax benefit realization. Conduct interviews and information-gathering sessions with client personnel, including engineering, software development, manufacturing, and management teams. Stay current with R&D tax credit legislation, IRS guidance, and industry developments. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely delivery of engagements. Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and client service while adhering to internal policies and procedures. ##LI-DNI15 years of experience in: oU.S. Federal and State R&D Tax Credits and/or UK R&D Tax Relief (SME and RDEC) oR&D Tax Consulting or related advisory services Experience working with CPA firms, R&D tax consultancies, or professional services organizations is an advantage. Experience preparing or supporting R&D tax credit claims and technical documentation. Knowledge of Forms 6765, 1120, 1120S, 1065, Schedule K-1, and related tax concepts. Experience in handling tax audits, enquiries, reviews, and claim substantiation would be an added advantage. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Strong report writing and documentation skills. Proficiency in: oMicrosoft Excel oMicrosoft Word oMicrosoft PowerPoint Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team environment.
