Associate Sales Manager – Employer Services International (ESI)
The Associate Sales Manager (ASM) plays a critical role in driving sales performance and building leadership capability within ADP ESI. This role combines front-line sales leadership with hands-on coaching, supporting a team of sales representatives to achieve revenue targets, expand market share, and deliver consultative HCM solutions to clients.
The ASM acts as a talent accelerator—developing future sales leaders while ensuring consistent execution of ADP’s sales methodology and customer-centric culture.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Performance
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets
- Drive disciplined pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and conversion performance
- Participate in customer meetings, deal strategy, and complex negotiations as needed
- Ensure consistent execution of ADP sales processes, CRM usage, and compliance standards
Coaching & Development
- Provide regular field coaching, call coaching, and performance feedback
- Conduct structured 1:1s focused on skills development, results, and career progression
- Support onboarding and ramp-up of new sales associates
- Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning
Business Execution
- Execute regional and segment-specific sales strategies aligned with ESI objectives
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales Enablement, Solution Consulting, and Operations
- Analyze activity, pipeline, and results to identify improvement opportunities
- Champion ADP’s value proposition in payroll, HCM, and compliance solutions
Culture & Customer Focus
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, trust, and continuous improvement
- Ensure an exceptional and ethical customer experience throughout the sales cycle
- Act as a role model for ADP’s values and leadership expectations
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B sales (SaaS, HCM, Payroll, or Professional Services preferred)
- Mentorship experience & experience with stretch assignments
- Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Ideally having achieved presidents club
- Strong coaching, communication, and influencing skills
- Data-driven mindset with strong forecasting and pipeline management capability
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into SBS market / MM
- Familiarity with complex or multi-product sales cycles. MEDDPICC & SPIN
- Exposure to international or EMEA sales environments
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent)
