TotalSource Audit & Compliance Advisor

Position Summary:

The Audit & Compliance Advisor provides consultative support, guidance, and instructions to TotalSource clients and our internal service partners as it relates to Form I-9, and E-Verify compliance and our related products and platforms. It is possible that the compliance functions and expertise of this position expand over time, as the team matures and widens its scope. The Audit & Compliance Advisor acts as subject matter expert on Form I-9 and E-Verify regulations, identity and work authorization documentation, and TotalSource I-9 and E-Verify products, positioning TotalSource for continued growth, success, and reducing compliance liability for both our clients and TotalSource.

As an Audit & Compliance Advisor, you will work on a small team of dedicated individuals working together to provide excellent support, guidance, and training to our field partners and our clients.

Essential duties & Responsibilities:

  • Desire and ability to become an SME on Form I-9, E-Verify, identity and work authorization documentation, and ADP TotalSource’s I-9 and E-Verify products.
  • Consult with our clients and field partners on topics and questions regarding Form I-9, E-Verify, identity and work authorization documentation and ADP TotalSource’s I-9 and E-Verify products.
  • Identify technical and compliance issues and solve for as necessary.
  • Coach and train internal partners on Form I-9 and E-Verify rules and product functionality.
  • Work closely and successfully with small team of other SMEs to establish best practices, learn from one another, and support our field teams and our clients.
  • Runs and analyzes reporting as necessary to coach clients on I-9 and E-Verify compliance.
  • Participates in current compliance initiatives eg: YE and FYE additional field support, product migration, necessary clean-up efforts.
  • Data entry, case documentation, updating of tracking spreadsheets are all common job activities.
  • Meets set KPIs for casework within CRM.
  • Service excellence is a top priority for ADP TotalSource. This role receives tNPS scores from client interactions.
  • Escalates programmatic issues to IT/development team or appropriate team member as appropriate.
  • This position may require some travel of 1-2 times per year.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2-3 years in professional services, implementation, client service, or human resources, with proven experience providing excellent client service.
  • Previous experience with Form I-9, E-Verify compliance, and our I-9 products are all a plus but not a requirement – desire to become a SME in these complicated and evolving topics is a must.
  • A strong drive to deliver exceptional client support to both external and internal customers.
  • A flexible, positive attitude, and a dedicated team spirit
  • Ability to both follow clear instructions and to work in ambiguity with grace.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to consistently build on current knowledge to solve problems that have similar foundations but may regularly present themselves differently.
  • Act with urgency, adaptability, kindness, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor in a team eco-system in which every individual impacts one another and workload is shared.
  • Problem-solving and Collaboration: experience in identifying, solving, and executing problem resolution. Able to make quick and informed decisions on compliance issues. Demonstrated ability to drive results through individual efforts and influencing others, without authority over them.
  • Strong data management skills, and communication skills (written and verbal), working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (outlook, excel, word, PowerPoint), excellent interpersonal and telephone skills, effective time management skills.
  • Prior PEO knowledge/experience a plus.

Education:

  • Education: bachelor’s degree (or equivalent in education and experience) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or payroll.
  • PHR, SHRM, or FPC certifications or a desire to achieve.
