Lead Software Engineer
ADP Tax Credits is seeking a senior programmer analyst to use an extensive software development background to understand business problems and design solutions that fit within ADP’s mature infrastructure. This unique position allows an individual to maintain competence in the latest technologies while being embedded in the business side of the organization. This position will require constant learning through self-training, conferences and dedicated onsite/offsite training. Strong business analytical and problem solving skills are required along with the ability to design, implement and test programming/configuration changes with the upmost attention to quality. This position requires the management of many concurrent tasks and business initiatives.
Desired Requirements
Requires relevant expertise in a professional, sales or technical area. Characterized by specific functional expertise typically gained through formal education. Majority of time is spent on: performing technically based activities, contributing to and managing projects, providing advice and/or direction in primary areas of expertise, utilizing analytical ability to solve problems and make recommendations, leveraging relationships by interfacing with and influencing key stakeholders. Work is primarily achieved by individual or through project teams, utilizing technical expertise to achieve results. At senior levels, may act in a “function leadership” (i.e. non-people leadership) capacity.
Responsible for developing software applications solutions for organization’s external and internal clients. Developers may be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC). Developer’s work with clients, product managers analysts, architects and engineers to plan, design, develop, test and implement information technology solutions consistent with the business objective. Developers may develop and review requirements, create design documents, write programs, package, test, configure and deploy software. Developers also participate and collaborate with other stakeholder including security, quality assurance, training, project management, engineering, hosting, & procurement when required to assist in other aspects of their projects. Developers at organization are expected to be results-oriented, have knowledge of new and legacy technologies, have knowledge of the relevant platforms and environments, and be familiar with business process, functions and data within their domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure solutions.
