Position Summary:
This person is responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling the activities of complex business projects spanning multiple organizations to ensure that project deliverable are provided on time, within budget, and by the specification. He/She is also responsible for building and maintaining productive working relationships between all organizations with various levels of associates and constituencies, including Group IT, Legal, and Finance. Program Managers are responsible for executing project procedures that support project management standards while ensuring the delivery of the business’s goals.
Typically manages the integration and/or development and delivery of very large and complex deliverables directly to the enterprise. This position provides the primary interface between the Marketing, Finance, Sales Operations, all Service entities, IT and Field Management organizations and is accountable for managing the overall “Program” or collection of Projects. This person is responsible for monitoring the performance of the Project Team and its Project Managers. He/she will engage the manager of a Project Team member should a performance challenge be encountered. All cross-functional and Business Unit Project and Product Managers will be aligned with this person in a matrixed-management structure during the engagement, to achieve team-based goals. This person acts as the primary contact for the Program to the enterprise and senior management.
This person must manage and provide communication to all organizations; including overall project milestones, risk, scope and expectations, project integration, budget, and staffing. Additional responsibilities include monitoring the performance of project team resources concerning their assigned project activities. Responsibilities will also include leading strategic projects and quarterly Steering Committee meetings with Client Experience leaders across ADP Business Units and functional areas.
