What you’ll do:

- Help put analysis into action. Perform troubleshooting, advanced analysis, reporting, quarter-end and year-end audits, and research related to payroll processing.
- Help our clients be at their best. Occasionally work on special projects to flex those critical and analytical thinking skills to help our clients achieve success.
- Deliver excellent customer service. Respond to and resolve intermediate service requests, basic client audits, participate in client calls, and complete basic level reporting on payroll activities.
- Help and support team members to deliver results.
- Functions as the senior processing person in the payroll cycle,
- Assist the Team Lead and Manager in reconciling all inputs & outputs of payroll processing & ensuring that all requirements are met.
- Perform all of the duties of a Payroll Specialist I and II, process complex pay groups, serves as a mentor for Payroll Specialist I & II, quarter-end and year-end processing, tax adjustments, serve as the Subject Matter Expert for payroll processing, lead production calls, complete complex reporting, assist in training of new associates, organizes and coordinates the completion of service requests, executive audits, SOC audits, participates in special projects, must have a higher level and understanding of payroll processing and be able to facilitate meetings (client and internal across teams).
What you need to do the job:

- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Equivalent Military experience OR
- 5+ years of multi-corporation, multi-state payroll OR
- Equivalent experience in the areas of customer service, payroll, human resources, benefits administration, financial institution, application support or other relevant work experience
- Must have demonstrated in-depth knowledge of HR, payroll technology, payroll processing, tax principles, wage and hour laws
- Intermediate understanding of Human Capital Management (HCM) and able to demonstrate dependencies across HCM domains; must exhibit role model behavior for HCM mindset
Must possess the following skills and experiences:
- Proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite of software to include Outlook, Word and Excel
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Be a self-starter who can prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
- Must possess critical thinking skills and enjoy problem solving
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- The job requires a comfort level with change, the ability to adapt to change and the ability to recover quickly from adversity
- Core hours can be longer during payroll processing days and must be able to work overtime especially during year-end
